Purpose: To notify or alert users on any Institution activities

Note: Please kindly ensure that users have email linked to their OpenEMIS account in order to receive the message.

1. Navigate to Institutions > Messaging page.

2. Click the Add button.

3. Select the Recipient Level

4. Select the Recipient Group

  • Recipient Group is based on Recipient Level selected

5. Select the Security Roles

  • If Student is selected, only students will receive the email
  • If Guardian is selected, only students who have Guardian linked will receive the email

6. Fill in the Subject and Message

7. After filling in the fields, you can either Save or Send

  • Save: Message will be save as draft and email will not be send

  • Send: Message will be send and users will receive the email

8. Email Received
